We have an opportunity for you to join Samsung Electronics Australia to make a difference as our Product Manager in the Mobile Experience (MX) division.
This role places a greater emphasis on the analytics aspect of product management and is crucial in shaping the strategic direction for the division.
The ideal candidate will first and foremost demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and responsibility to ensure that targets and goals are met, be data driven and proactively make recommendations to meet business objectives.
They will have a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a passion for numbers and consumer trends. They will have an analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data and information into actions and outcomes.

Role and Responsibilities

Operational Product Management

  • Ownership of sell-out performance, revenue management and forecast accuracy

  • Managing product lifecycle closely, making recommendations on ramp up and end-of-life (EOL) activities

  • Forecast alignment between Supply Chain, Sales and Category teams

  • Managing promotional laydowns with category and sales

  • Support with reporting requirements locally and with HQ

  • Engage with teams across Supply Chain Management, Sales, Marketing, Retail and Finance

Demand Generation

  • Identify and execute growth strategies that address opportunities and pain points

  • Input in the strategic planning of pre-order and launch sales promotions, offers and propositions based on previous results

Market Data Analysis

  • Analyse competitiveness of our brand and activity in market

  • Promotion impact analysis and recommendations

  • Provide channel performance insights to sales and category teams

Skills and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Product/Category Management, sales analyst or other related roles

  • Advanced MS Excel skills and ability to analyse large datasets

  • Strong analytical skills to back up assumptions, make recommendations and drive outcomes.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities

  • Exceptional communication skills to convince and engage stakeholders

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other teams
