About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Product and Applications, the Product Manager, Commercial Applications is responsible for the strategic ownership, governance, and continuous evolution of BDO’s commercial and business-critical application portfolio.

Working closely with senior business stakeholders, service lines, vendors, and IT teams, the Product Manager defines product roadmaps, manages vendor relationships, drives adoption, and champions effective business outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap for commercial applications, aligned to enterprise priorities and the broader product portfolio

  • Guide business stakeholders on platform opportunities, risks, and investment priorities, costs and expected value.

  • Translate complex application and integration considerations into clear business outcomes

  • Represent commercial application product interests in governance forums, steering committees and investment discussions

  • Establish and maintain enterprise-wide governance models for commercial applications, data integrity and access controls

  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Risk, Legal, Procurement, and Information Security teams to maintain appropriate controls and assurance

  • Define and track success metrics linked to efficiency, user experience, cost optimisation, and risk reduction

  • Provide product leadership, coaching, and guidance to the applications team and business stakeholders within the commercial applications domain

  • Contribute to product management standards, ways of working, and capability uplift across the product function. 

About You

This position is suited to an individual with: 

  • Extensive experience operating as a Product Manager or equivalent level, responsible for enterprise-scale commercial or line-of-business application portfolios (e.g. ERP, Finance, HR, CRM or Procurement) within complex, regulated, or enterprise environments.

  • Demonstrated experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.

  • The ability to set product direction, prioritise investment, and align platforms to business strategy.

  • A passion for delivering business outcomes through modernisation, optimisation, and automation.

  • Strong capability to lead and develop teams, fostering accountability and high-quality service delivery.
