A rare opportunity to join Fidante as a Product Manager on a 12-month basis, in our Investment Product team based in Sydney.

- In this pivotal role, you'll oversee the entire product lifecycle for our Funds Management business, with a primary focus on the Fidante Partners multi-affiliate platform.

About the role -
As Product Manager your role is critical in ensuring that our products operate effectively and as expected and continue to grow profitably while ensuring all risks are well managed.
This is a true end-to-end product management role as you’ll manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning, product establishments, ongoing product governance and management.
Some of your key focuses will be (but aren’t limited to)
- New Product Design, Development & Setup: Lead the design and setup of new products, from business case drafting to presenting at board meetings for approval.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Lead products from strategic planning and establishment through to ongoing governance and management. This includes developing new products and ensuring they meet market demands and regulatory standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all offer documents, such as Product Disclosure Statements and Target Market Determinations, are accurate and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Investment Management Agreements: Oversee agreements between the responsible entity and boutique investment managers, ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the Fidante Product stakeholder on various projects, you’ll provide product expertise and support as needed. Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders – within Challenger and with Investment Principals within external affiliate firms.
- Market research and analysis: You’ll be abreast of regulatory and industry requirements and practices regarding funds management and be savvy to key current market issues and trends to help anticipate market needs and meet demands with new product initiatives.
- Manage Product-related projects: These may be ad hoc projects prompted by regulatory change or sales initiatives, PDS rolls or other product related initiatives.
The skills & experience you’ll need -
To excel in role, you’ll need to possess the unique blend of a strategic mindset with technical knowledge and skills. The Team operates in a collaborative environment where a “can-do” attitude is imperative to success.
You’ll need a minimum of 2-3 years in a financial market’s product-related role, with demonstrated project management skills.
Product and/or Operational experience with mortgage funds is desirable but not essential.
As well as;
- Strong understanding of financial markets, multiple asset classes, and the regulatory environment, including ASIC regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge of unit trusts, preferably also mortgage funds, and how they operate.
- Impeccable written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down problems or situations, analysing or interpreting options, weighing up and prioritising alternatives and thinking through options.
Qualifications
- Ideally, you’ll hold an Undergraduate Degree in finance or a related discipline, or other relevant finance tertiary qualification.
