Position Summary

The Product Manager of Platforms and Data Services (PDS) in Australia and New Zealand is a key and strategic role. This position is part of the Services division, which provides global solutions that help corporations, financial institutions, and public sector clients optimize operations and drive their business forward.

We are looking for a client-obsessed product manager to lead the strategic vision and execution of commercialization for the full suite of Digital Platform offerings for our transaction banking clients in Australia and New Zealand. The product manager will manage the adoption of Citi’s digital banking capabilities, using our platforms (CitiDirect, CitiConnect), Onboarding, Data, and AI solutions as “building blocks” to solve client business challenges, helping to drive their operational efficiency and business growth.

This role requires a blend of deep product management expertise, strong client focus, extensive collaboration, and rigorous financial and risk management. Effective negotiation, advanced communication, and strong interpersonal skills are essential for influencing stakeholders and prioritizing initiatives.

What you will do
  • Deliver the strategic roadmap, development, launch, and marketing for all PDS products to gain maximum benefit and drive adoption across client segments in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for all PDS products, including CitiDirect, CitiConnect (API, Host-to-Host, ERP Integrators), Onboarding, Data, and AI.
  • Partner with the sales, client executives, and coverage teams to execute go-to-market strategies and address client pain points and issues.
  • Execute client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, and channel strategies to achieve preferred partner status with Citi clients.
  • Manage day-to-day product responsibilities, including product delivery, client experience, and adherence to in-country regulatory and compliance obligations.
  • Contribute to the achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue goals, and expense management.
  • Represent Australia and New Zealand as the voice of its clients, influencing and delivering product enhancements and managing the innovation roadmap.
  • Represent Citi in industry working groups to help execute on country-wide digitization agendas.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Who are we looking for
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a financial services Product or Platform Management function.
  • Experience in transaction banking, corporate banking, digital banking, or digital product management is highly desirable.
  • A problem solver with a roll-up-your-sleeves and can-do attitude.
  • Proven experience in the successful implementation of large or complex projects while managing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • A strong communicator, with consistently clear and concise written and verbal skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
  • Pluses / Nice-to-haves: Knowledge of corporate onboarding; knowledge of connectivity between banks and corporate/FI ERPs/TMS's; experience managing systems/digital solutions/platforms used by corporate clients.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
