Product Manager – People Services (Workday)

At Qantas, we know that the experience of our people is what drives the success of our business. With over 20,000 employees across the Group, we’re committed to providing the right digital tools and platforms to support their journey. We’re now looking for a Product Manager – (Workday) to lead our People Services HR technology portfolio, including Workday, SmartRecruiters and Zendesk, and deliver digital solutions that elevate the employee experience.

The opportunity

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the People Digital product portfolio across the employee lifecycle, including HR Core, Compensation & Remuneration Review, Performance, Talent, Recruiting (ATS) and Learning (LMS).
  • Develop and deliver product roadmaps aligned with the Group People strategy.
  • Oversee operational delivery and support, ensuring products evolve with business needs while maintaining high availability and compliance.
  • Monitor product performance, drive adoption and engagement, and deliver bi-annual Workday releases.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across People & Culture, IT, Finance and Procurement.
  • Lead, coach and mentor a team of Product Specialists and Advisers to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with third-party suppliers and consultants to optimise outcomes.

About you

You’ll be a strong people and product leader with a passion for HR technology and digital enablement. To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • 5–7 years’ experience in HRIS configuration and Leadership (Workday preferred) and continuous improvement.
  • Deep knowledge of HR technology landscape and SaaS/cloud platforms.
  • Experience leading product releases, system configuration and operational support.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior/executive levels.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field; HR experience preferred.
