Meet the Estates Law team

Estates Law is a division of LEAP Legal Software which specialises in software solutions for our Estates Law clients. This is a one-of-a-kind team paving the way for a new structure in LEAP which focuses on tailored products for specific verticals of law. This team includes experienced legal professionals, developers, designers and client-focused operational experts. We have in-house Australian Estates Lawyers who are experts in guiding the direction that our products take, along with a mature client feedback function.

What you'll do

As our Product Owner you’ll work closely with the Software Developers, Lawyers and the wider Estates Law team to take ownership of  products , ensuring everything we build meets the needs of our users, customers and internal teams. The work you do will help define and deliver impactful features that contribute to our overarching mission to “help lawyers who help people”.

To make this happen, you will:

  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of LEAP and Estates Law products and the documentation requirements
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of new product and feature releases
  • Create, edit, and maintain clear, accurate online knowledge articles across all LEAP Estates Law products
  • Produce Release Notes and marketing material for product and feature releases
  • Train new and existing staff on using the software and demonstrate new features
  • Present at internal meetings
  • Produce videos for online learning platforms
  • Demonstrate our products at client meetings, events and seminars/webinars
  • Write clear and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with the team to understand the product vision and roadmap and ensure timely delivery of products
  • Manage LEAP Estates Content work
  • Conduct QA testing as needed 
  • Collate client feedback on new apps and features to improve user experience
  • Manage integration of third party applications with LEAP Estates

What you'll bring

  • Apart from your 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner/Manager in the SaaS industry, your technical skillset will include:
  • The ability to work effectively with development teams; understands system architecture, APIs, integrations, and data flows
  • Expertise in managing product backlogs with multiple stakeholder inputs
  • Advanced writing skills, including editing and proofreading
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to express complex technical ideas in a simplified way
  • Experience translating highly technical language into a voice for business audiences
  • Ability to work across multiple product lines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, Synthesia or similar will be a bonus!
