The Product & Investing Solutions Crew is responsible for the end-to-end product management of the CommSec product portfolio (Equities, Margin Lending, Cash and Derivatives) and has accountability for P&L outcomes. The Product Manager role is a vital position delivering key P&L and customer focused outcomes for the CommSec Product & Investing Solutions Crew. Reporting to the Chapter Lead in the CommSec Lending Squad, you will build and leverage stakeholder relationships to support you with implementing our product roadmap. You will be a key part of providing our customers with easy-to-use tools and resources to put them in control of their investment decisions.

Do Work That Matters

As a Product Manager (PM) you will be accountable for the management of one or more products, as well as working with the broader team to enable outcome and success of the CommSec product portfolio. The PM is responsible for sourcing information from various sources to enable monitoring of product performance and assessing that performance against key regulatory and performance objectives. Engaging with all stakeholders, creating and delivering product plans and documenting processes to ensure sound change management. The PM is also responsible for acting as an SME on changes rolled out by other CommSec and CBA Crews, Squads and key business partners.

More specifically you will be

  • Responsible for delivering initiatives on the product roadmap through strong individual performance and team collaboration across all stakeholders
  • Successfully manage the product P&L and customer outcomes, supporting CommSec Products develop and maintain market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights
  • Responsible for ensuring product compliance with regulatory obligations and relevant Group Policies and Standards
  • Analyse data and financial metrics to measure product performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Responsible for proactively identifying, mitigating, managing risks associated to the product, and remediation initiatives.
  • Responsible for understanding the needs of our customers including pain points to drive change and deliver customer and business outcomes
  • Manage and monitor change to continuously improve the product offering and processes to facilitate the overall customer experience, and provide recommendations to improve results
  • Build and foster strong relationships across the product value chain, to ensure efficient delivery of product roadmap and resolution of issues

  • A self-starter using your product management experience to help us maintain our position as the leading online broker in the market
  • Previous product management and product development experience; or having experience of CommSec / Investing Products, Processes and Systems is highly desirable
  • A passion for customer centric product design
  • Strategic skills and business acumen with demonstrated success in leading and executing on projects
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and management capabilities. Success in the role requires the ability to lead and influence without direct authority
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities – need to have the motivation and be comfortable with investigating and providing recommended options/solutions to complex problems and technical nuances
  • Comfortable with navigating ambiguity and ability to work flexibly through change
  • Experience working in an agile environment and enjoy collaborating with other
  • Hold an RG146 accreditation, or tertiary related qualification in a finance or business-related discipline setting you apart from the competition.
