Job Description:

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

  • Lead, drive and own all aspects of the product management function - including the development annual category business plans that include product go to market category strategies, positioning, pricing, and competitive analysis, financial economic models, value propositions, sales forecasts, and regional product compliance.
  • Responsible for the creation, prioritisation and execution of the regional product roadmap.
  • As the subject matter expert, develop strong product messaging, backed by market data and research to clearly position the business unit as a market leader and drive category and industry education.
  • Effectively communicate with global and regional cross functional teams to ensure the needs of our customers and local market are accounted for during product development and launch.
  • Drive effective and ongoing product lifecycle management through evaluating products to be added, enhanced, refined, or eliminated.
  • Increase sales and profitability through identification and development of visionary new product concepts for anticipated need in our industry niches, and develop support resources and training for sales, customers, manuals, and technical support. 
  • Identify business opportunities and or threats through deep market and data analysis providing internal stakeholders recommendations on range, price, promotion, and placement areas to grow and defend market share.
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop, communicate and execute product, channel, and go to market strategies and be responsible for assigned product categories P&L and work closely with sales teams to convert opportunities into revenue.
  • Translate product features and benefits into crisp, fact based and compelling value propositions and marketing messages.
  • Work collaboratively with our regional in-house marketing team to ensure all marketing communication vehicles including launch kits, videos, training, PR, merchandising tools, catalogues, sell-in presentations, etc. are aligned to and support the product strategy and category goals.
  • Work collaboratively with Regional Planning to ensure healthy inventory levels are maintained. Monitor and provide the business with insights on product sell thru and identify and manage stock or sell thru issues effectively.
  • Accommodate monthly category and business reviews and report to Management and global stakeholders on performance.
  • Take a lead with the representation of the Belkin brand through such measures as PR, Roadshows, and any other internal/external Product Driven initiatives.
  • Manage categories to exceed the established P&L goals/budget for the year.
  • Lead the organisation to reduce excess inventory, scrap and other product related expenses including product reworks.
  • Utilise the local FIMO model to develop and present business cases and the financial outcomes for business alignment.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned or required.
  • Drive process enhancement across the PM to help drive better efficiencies and functionality for the team.
  • Contribute to a healthy, happy, productive company environment and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Always conduct one’s self in a professional and courteous manner that preserves the reputation of the Company.
  • Communicate ideas, challenges, and problems as they arise.
  • Liaise with and assist other departments as required.
  • Appropriately use all Belkin tools, systems and processes as required.
  • Attend company training sessions or meetings as required.
  • Understand and follow company rules and regulations.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing (or related field) and MBA preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Proven communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency with PC and all MS Office suite products required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be a positive, motivated and results driven team player.
  • Ability to priorities and multi-task to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team.
