  • Parramatta South campus with flexible working arrangements.
  • Salary: $225,857 – $233,770 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

The Opportunity
Western Sydney University’s School of Law is an ambitious School recognised for its strong social justice mission, high‑quality clinical legal education and impactful research. You will join a School deeply engaged with Greater Western Sydney, committed to community partnership, and dedicated to teaching a diverse student body that brings rich perspectives and lived experiences to the study of law. Your leadership will strengthen the School’s mission across teaching, research and engagement. 

In this senior academic role, you will contribute to designing and delivering contemporary blended learning that supports students with different learning styles and backgrounds. You will foster excellence through reflective teaching practices and lead curriculum innovation across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. As a representative of academic leadership at Western Sydney University, you will support interdisciplinary collaboration across Faculties and Research Institutes, building networks that advance institutional priorities.

You will also strengthen the School’s research profile by driving high‑impact scholarship aligned with key research clusters including commercial law, human rights and international law, inter‑Asia legalities, and social justice and critique. The School maintains strong community partnerships and international collaborations, particularly across Southeast Asia and Italy. Your research leadership will foster new projects, attract external funding and contribute to Western Sydney University’s national and global ambitions.

About You

  • Hold a PhD in a related discipline, with demonstrated leadership across teaching, research and engagement. 
  • Demonstrate excellence in pedagogical design and use of educational technologies to support diverse learners. 
  • Bring proven leadership in research, supervision, collaboration and attracting external funding.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across disciplines, industry and community partners.
