Job Description Summary
ConnectSydney is on the hunt for an enthusiastic Project Coordinator to join the Networks Delivery team in Rockdale!

About the Role

ConnectSydney, a joint venture of ServiceStream, Boral, and Johnson Controls, in partnership with Transport for NSW (TfNSW), is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone. Our responsibilities encompass routine maintenance, strategic enhancements, and specialised projects aimed at bolstering Sydney's transport infrastructure.

The Project Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of civil, and ITS projects works across the network. The role provides administrative, commercial and delivery support to ensure works are effectively planned, tracked, costed, and reported. This position plays a key role in improving planning, financial visibility and coordination across Operations, Traffic, Commercial and Procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and program support
  • Assist in developing and maintaining forward works programs and lookaheads
  • Coordinate inputs from supervisors, engineers, and other departments
  • Support the development of scopes, work packs, and delivery documentation
  • Track progress of Tactical and Special Project works
  • Support mobilisation and delivery of project improvement works
  • Coordinate meetings, actions, and follow-ups across internal stakeholders
  • Assist with scheduling, resource planning, and traffic coordination inputs
  • Assist with creation and tracking of work orders and purchase orders
  • Support cost tracking, forecasting and budget reporting activities
  • Assist with receipting, claims preparation and supporting documentation
  • Work with Commercial and Finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation
  • Maintain trackers for project status, risks and key milestones
  • Maintain project trackers, dashboards and reporting tools
  • Assist in gathering data for monthly and ad-hoc reporting
  • Support process improvement and documentation of workflows
  • Help improve data quality across maintenance systems
  • Support coordination across Construction, Traffic, Procurement and Commercial teams
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations and meeting packs
  • Track actions and ensure follow-up of agreed deliverables

About You:

  • Understanding of procurement or contract administration processes
  • Exposure to project or financial systems (e.g. Jobpac, JAMS, SAP or similar)
  • Use of PMO systems to track projects
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in project coordination or administration within construction, infrastructure, or maintenance is highly desirable
  • Experience in civil, road, tunnel or infrastructure maintenance environments is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
