ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Project Coordinator within our Transmission & Installation (T&I) Project team, you will play an essential role in supporting tier‑one construction projects across Australia. This position is key to ensuring smooth operational delivery throughout the entire project lifecycle. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, customers, and senior stakeholders, you will help drive the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of major projects.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGIn this role, you’ll support the full lifecycle of major construction projects—helping ensure materials, schedules, budgets, and communications all run smoothly.
You’ll work with engineers, customers, and internal teams to confirm material designs, coordinate timelines, and translate project scopes into clear plans and deliverables. Your work will include assisting with budgeting and cost baselines, identifying risks and opportunities, and helping build project schedules that align with customer programs.
As projects progress, you’ll support resource planning, coordinate with Production and Despatch teams, and ensure deliveries arrive on‑site accurately and on time. You’ll monitor performance against the plan, help resolve delays or roadblocks, manage contract variations, and escalate major issues to senior management when needed.
Financial tracking is also part of your role—you’ll submit claims, reconcile project costs, and help forecast cash flow. You’ll prepare progress updates, support audits of subcontractors, visit customer sites when required, and help maintain accurate project documentation and lessons learned.
Most importantly, you’ll act as a key communication link between customers and internal teams, helping ensure transparency, collaboration, and successful project outcomes.
To excel in this role, you’ll have a relevant bachelor’s degree (or higher) and at least three years of experience as a Project Coordinator. You communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally, and you’re comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Accuracy and attention to detail will be essential, particularly when managing tenders, project orders, and customer delivery schedules. Strong numerical capability, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work autonomously are also key.
You’ll bring resilience, problem‑solving skills, and a strong work ethic. Experience with SAP and intermediate Excel skills—such as VLOOKUPs, filters, subtotals, and basic formulas—will be highly regarded. Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications is expected.
