Job Description

We're looking for a passionate and hands-on Engineer to join our Merchandise team and support the development of innovative 4x4 protection products.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain exposure across the entire product development lifecycle. You'll work alongside experienced team members, suppliers and manufacturers to help bring high-quality products from concept to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and development of new 4x4 protection products
  • Create and maintain CAD models, drawings and technical documentation
  • Support product testing, validation and compliance activities
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturers throughout the product development process
  • Assist with prototype evaluation, product fitment and design improvements
  • Prepare fitting instructions and supporting documentation
  • Support project delivery and help monitor development timelines
  • Investigate product, quality and manufacturing issues as they arise
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Qualifications

About You

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related discipline
  • Some engineering, product development or manufacturing experience through employment, internships, university projects or placements
  • Experience using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
  • Interest in automotive products, manufacturing or 4x4 accessories
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Practical mechanical aptitude and a willingness to get hands-on
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organised, self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to product development or manufacturing environments
  • Understanding of fabrication, sheet metal or automotive products
  • Interest in 4WDs, touring or off-road vehicles
