The Opportunity

Cochlear has an opportunity for a full-time Project Engineer based in our Macquarie, Sydney office. In this role, the successful Project Engineer will coordinate and deliver technical projects to meet business objectives and ensure manufacturing excellence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering manufacturing projects that help improve Cochlear's manufacturing capabilities
  • Project coordination of complex and agile capital upgrade initiatives.
  • Facilitating closer collaboration between the project manager and technical teams.
  • Developing work plans, schedules, budgets, and technical documentation.
  • Monitoring project progress and ensuring delivery of targets.
  • Promoting safety and quality standards in all project activities.

Essential:

  • Successful record of delivering technical engineering projects.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to develop technical documentation and reports.
  • Effective communication skills across diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects against targets.

Ideal:

  • Experience in manufacturing or medical devices.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
  • PMP certification
