The opportunity

As Project Manager, Climate Reporting, you will be part of QBE’s Group Sustainability function and work closely with Group Finance and subject matter experts across the business. You will lead the project management of the Group’s climate reporting policies and guidance, and drive the delivery of climate‑related financial disclosures for the Annual Report. This includes recommending disclosures informed by QBE’s business strategy, evolving market practice, and current and upcoming mandatory climate reporting requirements

Your new role

  • Manage project milestones, resources and budget in accordance with the Sustainability Reporting Program for multiple workstreams across Group functions (e.g. GHG emissions calculations, data and systems, financial modelling, policy and transition plan delivery)

  • Monitor overall project status and milestones and regularly report progress and status

  • Lead project meetings, document clear and accountable actions and monitor delivery by action owners

  • Facilitate process workshops and development of supporting materials, seeking and coordinating inputs from workstream owners

  • Identify and report risks, issues and decisions via the programme governance framework, including maintenance of RAID log

  • Maintain documentation of project deliverables

  • Facilitate engagement with stakeholders from all functions (e.g. sustainability, underwriting, IT) to ensure the project is delivered to plan, on time and within budget

  • Manage the expectations of stakeholders to ensure issues are escalated, addressed and resolved promptly

  • Ensure alignment of project outcomes and deliverables across reporting and transition plan workstreams

  • Maintain regular workstream status reporting

About you

Our ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience. Insurance industry experience is advantageous. You will have:.

  • Strong project management and planning capabilities

  • Proven experience of dealing with people at all levels in the organisation, strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to negotiate, persuade and influence within a global team.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

  • Highly effective in planning and forecasting project delivery and managing outcomes
