The Project & Opportunity:
HumeLink East involves the expansion of the existing Bannaby 500 kV substation, along with the design and construction of 230km of new 500 kV double circuit transmission line. This new transmission line will connect the Bannaby 500 kV substation at the Wondalga interface point with HumeLink West. For this project, we are looking for a Project Manager for Pilling & Foundations to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of Transmission Tower piling and concrete foundations, ensuring compliance with design, technical specifications and engineering principles.

  • Manage a delivery team consisting of site supervision, engineering and subcontractors.

  • Interact and manage specialist subcontractors and manage directly executed works.

  • Review the design of tower foundations, ensuring they meet project requirements and facilitate efficient movement to, from, and within project sites.

  • Coordinate with project teams to integrate piling and concrete foundations into overall project design and execution plans.

  • Manage project delivery aspects, including scheduling, procurement, quality control, and cost management, specific to earthworks and access tracks.

  • Monthly forecast and reporting, tracking financial position of the scope.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.

  • Proven track record in successfully delivering civil infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on Transition Tower piling and concrete foundations.

  • In-depth knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques relevant to civil engineering works.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and manage contractor relationships.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental best practices in civil construction.
