Job Description:

The Project Manager’s goal is to successfully coordinate and deliver on time and under budget on any of Nextracker’s extended service offerings to the highest quality possible.

  • This scope of work includes but not limited to the following.
  • True Capture project management and commissioning.
  • Spare part sales, tool hire, extended warranty, and pricing/quotations.
  • Delivery of Operations and Maintenance services and training.
  • Coordinate and assist with the delivery of site upgrades, repairs, and remediation activities.

At all times, the Project Manager’s role is to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and positive interaction with the Nextracker team after initial project delivery and throughout the asset’s life.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for your own safety, and shared responsibility for the safety of all Nextpower staff, contractors, and visitors to your project sites. A good understanding of WHS principles and safety management is essential.
  • Read, understand, and comply with Nextpower policies and procedures as outlined from time to time.
  • Responsible for managing Projects from quotation through to completion and taking ownership of all aspects along the way (Pricing, coordinating logistics, Delivery or work, invoicing and
  • closeout).
  • Coordinate and drive the successful on-time delivery of all products needed from PO to delivery, liaising with Design Engineering, Supply, Logistics, freight forwarders and the customers.
  • Manage Project profit & loss including revenue forecasting, invoicing, cashflow and cost management.
  • Provides technical support for NEXTracker customers, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience and providing product and systems expertise to the customer.
  • Oversee the safety of any staff engaged to deliver site-based work.
  • Play a key role in cross-functional product teams, providing recommendations based on systems integration expertise and customer needs assessment and feedback.
  • Supports product development, sales, and marketing as requested.
  • Internal customer voice, an advocate for the customer within Nextracker.
  • Establish, measure and report key performance indicators for customer care to drive behavior and performance.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair Nextracker hardware and document findings.
  • Ensure a strong customer care experience and be able to effectively communicate resolutions for customer issues.

Experience, Qualities and Qualifications - Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field and/or equivalent experience required.
  • Project management qualification or demonstrated project management experience.
  • A good understanding of Australian WHS regulations, especially regarding the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of industry standard safe systems of work and experience with use of JSA and SWMS documents.
  • Excellent interpersonal/customer management service skills.
  • Experience in supply chain procurement and logistics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with remote access and VPN technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of wireless technologies.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Ethernet networks.
  • Proficient in the use of standard business systems (MS Office, MS Project, Outlook etc..)
  • Proficient in the safe use of hand tools (Laser levels, torque wrenches, grease guns, Battery drills, air compressors etc..)
  • Extensive travel required.
  • Australian residency.

Preferred

  • Passion for solar or renewable energy.
  • Strong knowledge of PV technology and its applications.
  • Hands-on experience with photovoltaic tracking solar systems a plus.
  • PM experience gained in energy, construction, mining, oil & gas fields.

WHS & Other Competencies

  • Construction Industry White Card.
  • High risk work license (Forklift) – Highly desired.
  • Unrestricted Driver’s License.
  • Other training to be provided.
