Job Description

Based in our North Ryde Support Office and reporting to the ESG & Supplier Compliance Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QA and Compliance Coordinator to join our team during an exciting period of growth and change. As an integral member of the Private Label team, this role supports organisational compliance, quality and continuous improvement, primarily with private label products and operations, to meet Australian and Petbarn standards safeguarding our brand reputation and delivering excellent customer experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

Quality Assurance

  • Support ESG & Supplier Compliance Manager with ongoing maintenance of quality control protocols, standards and processes
  • Support ESG & Supplier Compliance Manager with maintenance with our Supplier Program
  • Co-ordinate investigation and resolution of quality issues and non-conformances in a timely manner
  • Co-ordinate risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for potential safety issues
  • Support ESG & Supplier Compliance Manager with maintenance of all quality assurance reporting

Regulatory Compliance

  • Support ESG & Supplier Compliance Manager with ongoing product compliance with relevant local, national and international regulations and standards, supplier audits and communication of changes in regulatory requirements
  • Support ESG & Supplier Compliance Manager with co-ordination of PL Supplier Audit schedules and processes
  • Support ESG & Supplier Compliance Manager with maintenance of all compliance documentation and reporting

Customer Incident Management

  • Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, with customer incident and complaint management process
  • Support Customer Service Team in communication with customers to resolve quality-related issues and ensure their satisfaction, when required whilst assisting with product withdrawals and recall processes
  • Support ESG & Supplier Compliance Manager with maintenance and co-ordination of customer incident reporting

Reporting and Documentation

  • Support ESG & Supplier Compliance Manager with the maintenance of accurate and comprehensive documentation across QA and compliance activites
  • Support ESG & Supplier Compliance Manager with preparation of detailed reports across all quality and compliance metrics to senior management
  • Support ESG & Supplier Compliance Manager with timely and accurate reporting to senior management for reporting to regulatory authorities as required

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers and 3rd party agencies to ensure product quality and compliance from sourcing to final product

Qualifications

About You

You are an experienced QA and Compliance Coordinator who thrives in a complex, fast-paced environment. You are a collaborative team player with strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a genuine commitment to supporting the teams who support our customers. You will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Regulation & Compliance, Business administration, Regulatory Affairs or a related field; or Certificate IV and/or Diploma in Compliance & Risk Management
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in QA and/or compliance roles, preferably within the retail or pet industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, standards, and methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance
