Stryker’s Sage (infection prevention) business is expanding in Australia, and we’re looking for an experienced Regional Manager to lead our New South Wales business, our largest Sage market.

This newly created role leads a team across Territory Management, Business Development and clinical support, with responsibility for regional sales performance, commercial strategy and expansion across hospital, aged care and community settings.

What you will do

  • Lead and develop the NSW Sage team across Territory Management, Business Development and clinical support, setting clear performance expectations and accountability.
  • Develop and execute the NSW commercial strategy, balancing new business development with growth and management of the established customer base.
  • Identify and prioritise new markets, customers, referral pathways and commercial opportunities across hospital, aged care and community settings.
  • Build and manage a sustainable sales pipeline, focusing team activity and resources on priority commercial opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain commercial relationships with key customers, distributors, procurement groups and relevant healthcare stakeholders.
  • Partner with Marketing to translate customer feedback and market insights into regional commercial plans and initiatives.
  • Coach the sales team on stakeholder engagement, opportunity management and adapting commercial approaches to customer and market needs.
  • Review team and regional performance, provide direct feedback and address performance gaps while representing the NSW business in broader commercial discussions.

What you will need

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in sales and commercial roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing sales professionals.
  • Experience managing both new business development and an established customer portfolio.
  • Experience developing and executing commercial or sales plans.

Preferred

  • Experience within medical technology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare or a related commercial market.
  • Experience working with Marketing or other cross-functional teams on commercial initiatives.
  • Experience selling or managing commercial activity across multiple healthcare settings or customer segments.

Why Sage at Stryker?

This is an opportunity to join Sage at an important point in its Australian growth story.

The NSW business has an experienced team and an established hospital presence, while new investment is creating opportunities to think differently about where and how Sage competes.

For the right leader, that creates a rare combination: an established business to lead, a capable team to develop and genuine whitespace to explore.

You won’t be expected to simply inherit a strategy and execute it. You’ll help shape it.
