Job Description

As a Regional Manager you will play a key role in connecting the Burson Leadership Team with the wider store network, ensuring clear communication and consistent execution of the business plan. Accountable for the performance of 15 stores in the western suburb’s region.

This role focuses on leading and coaching Store Managers to achieve performance targets, proactively addressing underperformance, and reinforcing behaviours aligned with company values, while driving the successful rollout of key programs and initiatives across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion and support Burson’s business plans and strategic initiatives
  • Contribute at an executive level as part of the Burson Leadership Team
  • Lead the implementation of the Burson business plan across the region
  • Deliver strong results, adapting effectively to changing business conditions
  • Engage and motivate store teams to achieve performance objectives
  • Develop and manage store budgets, with a focus on margin and profitability
  • Drive performance across all stores in the region, from sales through to profit outcomes
  • Oversee the management of the regional motor vehicle fleet
  • Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and practices
  • Coaches store managers to perform effectively, driving business/profitability-based decisions.
  •  Ensure recruitment of employees who have the necessary skills and characteristics that meet Burson and customer expectations.
  • Actively participates in ‘lessons learned” re safety and reporting of safety indicators and issues.
  • Promote a safe working environment, contributing to an injury-free workplace

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in a relevant industry in similar position or Regional Management
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in business or related
  • Proven ability to drive financial performance by leading a portfolio of businesses
  • Strong capability to build and maintain customer and trade relationships
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed, trade-based teams
  • Dynamic leadership style with a focus on generating and executing new ideas
  • Results-driven with a strong sense of urgency and clarity around goals, expectations, and processes
  • Skilled at managing competing priorities and multiple demands
  • Effective at delegating tasks to team members and external service providers
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, and proactive, with a strong drive to succeed and embrace challenges
