About the Role

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our B2B Commercial and Card Division. The position will be responsible for developing and executing the sales plan and strategy for selling of Ampol’s portfolio of products with a focus on fuel, lubricants, Ampol card and future energy.

 

In addition, you will lead a team of up to 5 direct reports and focusing on customer based mid-tier commercial accounts in mining, industrial, agriculture, road transport and construction. This is a Hybrid opportunity based in Sydney.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically promote the full range of Ampol products and services.
  • Identify and target new growth opportunities whilst maintaining a sales pipeline.
  • Provide monthly reviews to the National Sales Manager with a focus on areas of improvement, planned corrective actions, accounted for in the 90 day plans.
  • Conduct monthly business reviews, performance, growth plans and coaching with direct reports.
  • Collaborate with the BDM Commercial to develop the market strategy.
  • Foster strong internal and external stakeholder relationship.
  • Represent Ampol at B2B events and meetings including Cross Functional Planning Team.
  • Flexible to travel across NSW and ACT

 

About you

You demonstrate proven experience in a similar role with a high level of sales strategic skills combining strong leadership capability and results driven to drive and execute sales growth. You have strong stakeholder management and engagement including high level of customer management and ability to drive positive culture within the team will be foremost in your professional attributes.

Your diverse communication skills will also help you thrive in this role along with a high level of work ethic.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in Sales and Leadership.
  • Experience in leading, developing, and coaching people.
  • Experience in implanting sales strategies, clear goals and standards.
  • Negotiation experience with complex customers and high value contracts.
  • Experience in reporting and analytics.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Fuel industry is desirable.
  • Ability to drive team performance.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
