Job Title: Renewals Account Manager

Location: AVEVA Offices in Australia  

Employment Type: Full time, regular, hybrid work arrangements

 

The job  

Drives customer renewals, retention, and recurring revenue growth by managing key customer relationships, collaborating with sales teams, and proactively mitigating renewal risks to achieve business targets.

 

Key responsibilities 

Drive Renewal Performance

  • Achieve renewal quotas and key business metrics, including on-time renewals and successful resolution of escalated renewal contracts

Develop Strategic Renewal Plans

  • Understand customer requirements

  • Introduce customers to the renewal cycle/process

  • Create and execute MEDDPIC-based renewal strategies in collaboration with Sales and Customer Success teams to maximize retention and growth

Identify Growth Opportunities

  • Proactively uncover cross-sell and upsell opportunities, engaging customers directly or transitioning opportunities to Account Managers when appropriate

Manage End-to-End Renewal Execution

  • Own the complete renewal lifecycle from customer engagement through quotation, forecasting, purchase order management, and contract closure

Strengthen Customer and Internal Partnerships

  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records, build trusted customer relationships, collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Channel Partners, and provide reporting and operational support to improve renewal effectiveness and reduce churn

 

Other Duties may include

  • Support evolving renewal processes aimed at improving renewal efficiency

  • Provide accurate reporting specifically for Late Renewals, Renewal migration and Churn including reasons for cancelation for analysis

  • Provide assistance to sales team related to global accounts that may exist in the territory

  • Assist Business with any other activity required to fulfil role

Desired skills 

  • Strong expertise in renewal management, including the application of renewal processes, commercial policies, pricing strategies, and contract governance

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a complex portfolio of accounts, effectively balancing multiple priorities while maintaining customer satisfaction, engagement, and renewal momentum

  • Proven enterprise sales and account management experience, with a successful track record of building trusted relationships and influencing senior stakeholders, including VP Operations, CTOs, CIOs, and other executive decision-makers
