Research Associate – Fidante
This is a unique opportunity to join Fidante’s Research function, working closely with the Head of Research to support key relationships with research houses across the market.
If you’re early in your research career and looking to build deep exposure to financial markets, investment products, and the research house ratings landscape, this role offers a hands-on learning environment with direct access to senior leadership.
Based in our Sydney CBD office, you’ll enjoy flexible working (Typically 3 days in the office, 2 from home).
About the role
As a Research Associate, you’ll be a key support to the Head of Research, helping ensure the smooth coordination of research house ratings activity and delivery to Fidante’s affiliate partners.
You’ll play a central role in keeping things moving from managing meeting logistics and reporting through to contributing to insights and analysis that support ratings outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
Acting as a key support to the Head of Research, helping coordinate day-to-day research house activity
Managing logistics for research house review meetings, including scheduling and ensuring materials are delivered on time
Supporting the completion of RFIs and RFPs in collaboration with internal teams and affiliates
Producing reporting and insights, including competitor and research house analysis
Pulling and analysing data (e.g. Power BI reporting) to support client conversations
Assisting with client and affiliate queries, maintaining a high standard of service
Supporting conference and event coordination within the research function
Helping track research house ratings activity and supporting retention planning where required
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in investments and a strong foundation in financial markets.
You’ll likely have around 2+ years’ experience in financial services ideally working in a Distribution or Client Service team.
As well as;
Knowledge of financial markets and investment products (essential)
Exposure to funds management and research houses, potentially as an Associate responsible for client reporting and/or market insights.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Confident communication skills and a proactive approach
Strong Excel and MS Office capability; exposure to Power BI would be highly regarded
Relevant tertiary qualifications
RG146 (preferred)
