The Opportunity:

Have you been looking to step away from the tools and progress yourself within a role where your product and service knowledge finds you as a frontline leader with customers?

As a Resource Industries Support Representative, you will not only have a portfolio of customers within hard rock underground and service mining, but you will also get the chance to work directly with customers through navigating their needs, offering product support, and driving and implementing change.

The Role:

Reporting to the Resource Industries Support Manager, in this role, you will build collaborative and trusted customer business relationships that are focused on optimising equipment performance.  Your ability to identify the customers key business drivers, influence decision makers, and grow parts, service and sales is what will determine your success.  

This is a key position that will allow the successful candidate to elevate the success and positive impact Hastings Deering has with its customers through ensuring expectations and service standards are understood and delivered within agreed timeframes. Your ability to maintain and increase Hastings Deering’s market share of parts and service, whilst communicating and managing challenges effecting fleet performance and satisfaction, will underpin your success.

About You:

  • Trade Qualified Cert III Engineering (Diesel Fitting) preferable but not essential

  • Demonstrated customer management experience

  • Knowledge of Caterpillar products and HMS products desirable

  • Proactive approach to sourcing solutions

  • Strong commitment to Safety requirements and continuous improvement

  • Well-developed customer and communication skills

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills

  • Proven ability to supervise and lead a dynamic team of people
