About the business/role/team

New opportunity for a Risk Analyst to join our Line 1 Risk Management community, where you will work closely with key Line 1 departments and the Line 2 CRO team to strengthen the Bank's risk culture and risk and compliance management practices.
About the role

  • Lead and/or contribute to the design and implementation of target state operational risk and compliance frameworks, policies and standards.

  • Provide subject matter expertise, coaching, training and guidance to support business areas in implementing and embedding enhanced risk management practices.

  • Support the preparation and delivery of risk and compliance reporting, providing meaningful insights to stakeholders and contributing to effective governance outcomes.

  • Conduct control testing and related assurance activities to assess the effectiveness of key controls and support compliance with the Bank's risk management frameworks, policies and standards.

  • Manage internal and external relationships and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to drive strong risk and compliance outcomes.

About you

  • Demonstrated ability to support business areas and Line 2 stakeholders in strengthening risk management practices.

  • Demonstrated understanding of current industry best practice in risk and/or compliance frameworks and practices, preferably within central banking or the broader financial services sector.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate accountabilities and responsibilities within a mature Three Lines of Accountability (Three Lines of Defence) model.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and anticipate risk and/or compliance-related challenges arising from the Bank's strategy and operational processes.

  • Sound understanding of organisation-wide risk and compliance frameworks, policies and standards, with the ability to monitor compliance, provide guidance and influence business and Line 2 stakeholders.

  • Experience supporting risk reporting, control testing and/or assurance activities will be highly regarded.
