About the Role

Service Stream and Connect Sydney are excited to open applications for a Safety Advisor Graduate to join Connect Sydney, and form part of our cohort for the 2027 Ignite Graduate Program. ConnectSydney, a joint venture of ServiceStream, Boral, and Johnson Controls, in partnership with Transport for NSW, is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone. You have the opportunity to support a diverse range of sites including the most iconic structures in Sydney! Our responsibilities encompass routine maintenance, strategic enhancements, and specialised projects aimed at bolstering Sydney's transport infrastructure. You will gain exposure to multiple facets of safety including safety management systems, incident investigations and learning, data analysis and reporting, human factors and risk reduction, and technology and innovation.

About the program

Our 2-year program is designed to support your personal and professional growth through a balanced mix of on-the-job experience, learning from others, and structured formal development. Our program features:

  • Job rotations – you will have the opportunity to work across different areas of specialisation and projects.

  • Networking events – meet and greets with our executives as well as our business leaders, other graduates, and graduate alumni.

  • Professional membership – for your first year we will give you access to your relevant association such as Engineers Australia

  • Learning courses - to build capability in areas such as personal branding, influencing, finance and presenting.

  • Annual site visits - providing on the job experiences and exposure to various projects across Australia.

  • Support and guidance - through leadership support, a buddy system, a dedicated and enthusiastic graduate program team and mentoring opportunities.

  • Paid leave - parental, cultural, community service, defence, study, corporate volunteering and purchased leave available.

  • Access - discounts for hundreds of businesses such as Woolworths, Air BNB, The Iconic, JB HI-FI, Dan Murphys, Bupa Health Care, and Specsavers. We also offer access to novated leasing and a share matching program.

O-Week kicks off in February 2027 from our head office in Melbourne, marking your first day of employment. We will provide remuneration increases every 6 months for the duration of this program, and when you finish you will have a permanent role with us!

About you

To be eligible for the program, you must:

  • Have completed, or about to complete, a minimum 3-year undergraduate degree such as WHS, Engineering or Science within the last 5 years from a recognised university.

  • Be available to work full-time for the 2-year duration of the program from February 2027.

  • At time of application, hold Australian/New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
