Come shape the future of education with us.
Clipboard is transforming the way that schools deliver extracurricular programs. We drive student engagement and quality of education by supporting music, sports, clubs and everything else that happens outside of the classroom.
Clipboard plays a critical role for schools in ensuring they deliver quality programs in a safe and organised environment. Hundreds of schools - and hundreds of thousands of students, parents and staff - rely on Clipboard daily across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
We build innovative and streamlined software to help schools win back time, save money, meet duty of care requirements, communicate better and ultimately focus on those who matter the most: their students.
Now part of the Compass Education Group, giving us the backing to scale quickly while maintaining a fast-moving, high-performance environment, we’re looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Sydney team and play a key role in driving our next phase of growth.

About the Role & Team
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, you'll work within our growing sales team to generate new business opportunities. You'll focus on identifying and engaging prospective schools across Australia, New Zealand, and international markets in Asia through strategic outbound campaigns and relationship building.
Your primary mission will be to book discovery meetings for our Account Executives by connecting with decision-makers at schools, understanding their extracurricular program challenges, and demonstrating how Clipboard can solve their problems. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building relationships, enjoys the challenge of cold outreach, and wants to make a meaningful impact in education.
The SDR role within Clipboard is viewed as the ideal stepping-stone for motivated sales representatives to grow into an Account Executive role. The successful candidate will be someone who can hit the ground running by taking initiative to learn our business, our industry and understand the value of the Clipboard platform.
Day to day you will:
- Execute strategic outbound campaigns through cold calls, emails and LinkedIn outreach to generate proactive sales leads from schools in Australia, New Zealand, and Asian international markets.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospects' needs, challenges and decision-making processes.
- Schedule qualified discovery meetings between prospects and Account Executives.
- Represent Clipboard at key education events, conferences and expos to generate leads and build brand awareness.
- Engage with warm leads generated through marketing channels and inbound inquiries.
- Research and identify target schools and key decision-makers within our ideal customer profile (ICP).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect information in HubSpot CRM.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and refine outreach strategies and messaging.
- Meet and exceed monthly targets for qualified meetings booked and pipeline generation.
- Provide feedback to the marketing team on prospect responses and market insights.
