Job Description


  • Outside sales of Domain/ CoStar Group Property Data Solutions to the Financial Services Industry 

  • Focus on Growth via new & existing business sales within the Bank, Mortgage Broker & Valuer market segments 

  • Working within a high-performing team supported by pre & post sales specialists.

About the Role 
 
As part of our Sydney-based team of passionate property data salespeople & with direct support from the Regional Director Sales for Financial Services, you will drive the opportunity to grow our market share in the Banking, Mortgage Broker & Valuation segment by introducing new and growing existing commercial relationships in those markets. 

Leveraging our existing strong position in market, direct manager support and using your own domain knowledge and industry network you will deliver value to the market through our unique property data solutions, including direct data feeds, the PriceFinder platform and Automated Valuation Models. 

Key to your success will be continuous Market & Customer engagement will be through a range of prospecting and relationship management activities including qualifying inbound leads, cold calling, industry event networking, product demonstration and training, running data workshops and coordinating and executing client &/or market events. You will quickly become a “domain” expert in property data & associated solutions which will support your technical sales development and career pathways into Sales Leadership within a dynamic high growth organisation. 

In a typical day you can expect to: 
 

  • Grow & develop the sales pipeline to achieve individual sales targets through new business activity within your territory (prospecting, lead development) & engagement with Clients in your Book of Business to renew & upsell data product subscriptions. 

  • Maintain best practice pipeline management including maintaining opportunity accuracy, logging all prospect and client activity, qualifying leads <48 hours, to ensure accurate reporting of pipeline performance at Team Sales Pipeline meetings 

  • Support GTM for new products or enhancement releases for existing products into your sales territory. 

  • Capture and deliver timely feedback on products arising from Client and Market engagement and support objection handling in your territory Product feedback channels include CRM activity logs and regular in person Product Road Map meetings. 

  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to maintain opportunity momentum to achieve quarterly goals (e.g. Product, Pre/Post Sales Specialists, Operations/ Pricing, Legal). 

  • Expand your knowledge to become the “domain” expert for property data solutions in your markets. 

  • Travel interstate to engage with your sales territory. 
     

The Ideal Candidate: 
 

  • 2+ years of B2B consultative or diagnostic sales & account management in data/ SaaS preferably within Financial Services.  

  • Capability will include the ability to clearly understand target/ client requirements, determine relevant solutions to diagnosed and qualified problems to solve & deliver this in clear concise proposal communications to develop opportunities with customers and targets. 

  • Strong verbal communication and ability to build rapport quickly in 1st interactions and engagements from the Executive to Technical stakeholders at clients and targets. 

  • Some experience handling contract negotiations for both new business and subscription renewals understanding how to establish win-win outcomes for lasting relationships. 

  • Solid ability to communicate opportunity/ client/ target use cases for our solutions to meet internal governance requirements and establish relevant pricing. 

  • Enthusiasm and passion to build lasting business relationships and grow target market share. 

  • Strong experience using a CRM to support sales activity, develop pipeline and report performance. 

 

Desirable

  • Property Data Solution sales experience into the Financial Services market of Australia; OR 

  • Direct Australian Property Market experience at a Lending, Valuation or Mortgage Broking company.
