The role

We’re looking for a dynamic Sales Manager – Business Development to join our Sales & Partnerships AU Team. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving high-performance execution across the Internal BDM team, strengthening the capability of the broader sales organisation, and elevating partner experiences through effective sales enablement and structured engagement.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead and Coach: Mentor and develop internal BDMs to achieve KPIs while amplifying Prospa’s unique value proposition in the market.
  • Execution of AU Sales and Partnerships yearly plan by developing and implementing a strategic plan to grow partnerships, influence market participants and deliver territory sales volume. 
  • Manage portfolio partner relationships across the internal BDM portfolio and implement a strategic action plan ensuring a mutually beneficial partnership. 
  • Lead by example across the Sales and Partnerships team, providing coaching and development to internal BDM’s, ensuring that the targets and individual KPIs are met. 
  • Co-ordinate our channel engagement plan related to industry events while positioning Prospa as a leader in the SME market.  
  • Management and reporting of data analytics to drive strategic and tactical decisions. 
  • Influence internal stakeholders across departments (Product, Credit & Policy, Sales Ops, Marketing) to ensure alignment with our channel. 
  • Expand and position the Prospa brand across the finance industry in Australia.

  • Experience:
    • Proven Leadership: Ability to coach and inspire teams to exceed targets and foster a high-performance culture.
    • Sales Expertise: Track record of implementing structured sales processes with strong results.
    • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of SME market motivators and channel structures.
    • Collaboration: Skilled at influencing stakeholders and driving cross-functional initiatives.
    • Personal Attributes: High emotional intelligence, strong communication, adaptability, and integrity.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Australian SME market and financial services landscape.
    • Channel structures and partner engagement strategies.
    • Leading teams remotely and managing complex stakeholder relationships
