Musco Lighting Australia is looking for a motivated, relationship-driven Sales Representative to join our growing team in the Sydney area.

This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who enjoys building meaningful customer relationships, solving complex challenges, and turning opportunities into results. In this role, you’ll work closely with contractors, engineers, specifiers, facility owners, and other key stakeholders to deliver innovative lighting solutions for sports facilities and other applications.

At Musco, you won’t just be selling a product—you’ll be helping customers bring their projects to life while becoming a trusted partner throughout the entire process.

What You’ll Do

As a Sales Representative, you’ll take ownership of your territory and play a key role in growing Musco’s business throughout the marketplace. You will:

  • Build lasting customer relationships with key contractors, specifiers, facility owners, and end-users throughout your territory.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend the Musco products and services that provide the right solution.
  • Develop new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers.
  • Present Musco’s products and services through customer meetings, sales presentations, field visits, trade shows, and other events.
  • Identify key decision-makers and influencers on projects and develop relationships that strengthen Musco’s position.
  • Prepare project budget estimates using Musco’s pricing tools and resources.
  • Partner with sales, engineering, and other internal teams to evaluate projects and develop effective solutions.
  • Negotiate pricing, agreements, credit terms, and collections when appropriate.
  • Participate in field activities, including measuring and assessing facilities, confirming pole locations, supporting installations, conducting night-light tests, troubleshooting, and warranty inspections.
  • Maintain accurate and timely project information and documentation in Musco’s sales database.
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Coordinator to communicate territory needs, customer concerns, opportunities, and resource requirements.
  • Participate in company meetings, conference calls, training, and other business activities.
  • Proactively make business development calls and create new opportunities with prospective and existing customers.
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is driven, curious, collaborative, and passionate about helping customers succeed.

Successful candidates will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business, Sales, Entrepreneurship, or a related field preferred.
  • A genuine passion for sales, relationship building, and business development.
  • A strong customer-first mindset and the ability to build trust with people at all levels.
  • Self-discipline and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader team.
  • A positive, entrepreneurial attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the confidence to present to groups.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to balance customer meetings, travel, project deadlines, and internal communications.
  • Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn and educate others.
  • Electrical industry experience and experience working with contractors are preferred.
  • The flexibility to travel extensively throughout the territory, including occasional evenings, overnight stays, and work outside traditional business hours.
  • Access to a personal vehicle for business travel within the assigned territory. Mileage for eligible business travel is reimbursed.
  • 3–5 years of relevant sales experience is preferred.
