Job Description

At NCS, we are looking for a Salesforce Platform Architect to serve as the definitive technical authority for our most ambitious digital transformations in Australia. Based in Sydney, this is a high-level strategic role designed for an expert who doesn't just follow blueprints but creates them. You will lead the architectural roadmap, technical governance, and integration strategy for complex Salesforce ecosystems, ensuring every solution is built for the scale, performance, and security that our tier-one clients demand.

As a bridge between visionary business goals and technical execution, you will oversee the design of high-performance solutions across Sales, Service, Experience Cloud, and CPQ. This is a leadership-heavy consulting position where you will define the "NCS way" for development standards, data governance, and API management. Whether you are architecting a seamless integration via MuleSoft or establishing a long-term platform health strategy, your influence will be felt across the entire project lifecycle. You will mentor our developers and administrators, fostering a culture of technical excellence while navigating the fast-paced, dynamic landscape of Sydney’s enterprise tech market.

Qualifications

You are a seasoned strategist with a "big picture" mentality and the technical depth to back it up. You are comfortable in the boardroom presenting a three-year roadmap and equally at home in a design review deep-diving into complex data models.

Technical & Strategic Leadership:

  • Experience: hands-on Salesforce experience, with extensive experience specifically in an architectural lead role.

  • Architectural Mastery: Deep knowledge of platform capabilities (Apex, LWC, Flows) combined with the ability to select the right patterns and frameworks for enterprise-scale custom apps.

  • Integration & Data: Proven track record in designing complex system integrations (REST/SOAP) and defining enterprise-level data governance and API strategies.

  • Security First: Expertise in platform security, compliance, and performance optimization to ensure long-term platform health.

  • Certifications: You are a Certified Application Architect or System Architect (ideally both).

  • Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Salesforce DX.

  • Familiarity with MuleSoft or other enterprise middleware tools.

  • A history of delivery within Agile/Scrum environments for large-scale Australian organizations.

Consulting Soft Skills:

  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to solve immediate technical hurdles while maintaining alignment with long-term organizational goals.

  • Influential Communication: Exceptional ability to translate technical complexities into value-based language for C-suite stakeholders.

  • Mentorship: A passion for raising the bar for the entire team through technical guidance and best-practice enforcement.
