About the Role

We are seeking a Principal/Senior SAP Payroll Consultant with deep expertise in Australian Payroll to lead the strategic design, deployment, and optimisation of Employee Central Payroll (ECP). In this senior role, you will provide thought leadership across end‑to‑end payroll architecture and implementation, ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence, and guide clients through complex HR and payroll transformation initiatives. You will oversee solution governance, mentor delivery teams, and act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders.
This role can be performed remotely anywhere within Australia, with occasional travel aligned to major project milestones. You also have the flexibility to work from any of our Australian or New Zealand office locations.

About the Role

This role is designed for experienced Payroll Professionals who are currently end users of payroll systems and are looking to transition into a SAP Payroll Functional Consultant career.

As an SAP Partner, DyFlex designs, implements, and supports SAP Payroll solutions for clients — we don’t run payroll operations. In this role, you will be trained and developed to move away from payroll processing and into SAP functional consulting, working alongside senior SAP Payroll consultants on implementation and transformation projects.

You will be supported with structured on‑the‑job learning, hands‑on project exposure, and SAP training and certification, building a long‑term consulting career within DyFlex.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate payroll business requirements into SAP Payroll and/or Employee Central Payroll (ECP) functional designs.
  • Support end‑to‑end SAP Payroll implementations, including design, configuration, testing, data migration, and go‑live support.
  • Assist with the configuration of payroll rules, wage types, schemas, and calculations in line with Australian payroll legislation.
  • Participate in client workshops to understand current‑state payroll processes and design future‑state SAP solutions.
  • Support payroll testing activities, including unit, integration, parallel, and user acceptance testing.
  • Assist with data validation, reconciliation, and payroll compliance activities.
  • Work closely with senior consultants to build SAP functional and consulting capability.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven hands‑on experience in Australian Payroll in an in‑house or outsourced environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including STP Phase 2, Superannuation, and Fair Work.
  • Experience as an end user of payroll systems (SAP Payroll and/or SuccessFactors exposure is highly regarded but not mandatory).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with an interest in how payroll systems are designed and configured.
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders and project teams.
  • A clear desire to move from payroll operations into SAP functional consulting.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work with SAP’s latest technologies, including S/4HANA, BTP, and Joule.
  • Flexible work environment: work from home anywhere in Australia or New Zealand, with travel for key project deliverables.
  • Competitive remuneration and benefits.
  • Comprehensive SAP training and certification opportunities.
  • A supportive, inclusive, and diverse workplace culture.

DyFlex is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and flexible work environment, free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment. Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our success.
