About the business/role/team

This role sits within the CoreMod Enterprise Migration Stream, tasked with migrating enterprise workloads to modernised infrastructure as part of the Reserve Bank of Australia’s (RBA) broader CoreMod Program.
This is a 2 Year Fixed Term Salaried Contract.

Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will work directly with project managers of individual sub-streams aligned with business requirements. The focus of this role is to scale Agile ways of working, enhance team collaboration, and fine-tune the balance between open communication and delivering results.

About the role

  • Agile Facilitation – Lead and coach Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives) to ensure smooth execution.

  • Team Enablement – Remove impediments, optimise workflows, and support the team in delivering high-quality migrations and infrastructure upgrades.

  • Program Collaboration – Work within a scaled Agile environment, ensuring integration with other CoreMod sub-streams and business units.

  • Continuous Improvement – Drive Agile maturity by mentoring teams, promoting Agile best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

  • Stakeholder Management – Engage with product owners, business analysts, architects, and technical teams to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.

  • Risk & Compliance – Ensure Agile processes comply with regulatory requirements and risk management policies in a banking environment.

About you

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master in complex enterprise environments.

  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Agile delivery methodologies.

  • Experience with enterprise workload migrations or infrastructure modernisation (preferred).

  • Ability to manage dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations in a structured Agile setting.

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and servant-leadership skills.

  • Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SAFe frameworks.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
