Location: Port Kembla Region, NSW
Employment Type: Full-Time

Level 4 pay grade ($30.23 p/h + super + shift loading)

 

About the role

Are you a proactive, adaptable, and professional Security Officer looking for a role where no two shifts are the same?

We are seeking a motivated Full-Time Security Officer to join our team servicing a major industrial site in the Port Kembla region. This is an exciting opportunity for an all-round security professional who enjoys variety and takes pride in delivering exceptional security services.

 

As part of our security team, you will rotate across a range of key functions, including:

  • Control Room Operations

  • Gatehouse Access Control

  • Rapid Response Patrols

  • Customer service and stakeholder engagement

  • Incident response and reporting

  • Monitoring CCTV and alarm systems

  • Conducting security patrols and inspections

You should feel confident responding promptly and professionally to critical or sensitive situations. Some incidents may involve providing first aid or coordinating an emergency response, so strong communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current NSW Security Licence

  • Current First Aid Certificate

  • Current Full Driver Licence

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Excellent computer literacy and report writing ability

  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure

  • A professional presentation and strong work ethic

  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays

Previous experience in industrial, gatehouse, control room, or rapid response security is highly regarded but not essential for the right candidate.
