Carta is looking for a Sydney-based Account Executive to join our Corporations Sales team and lead Carta’s expansion across the Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) region.
You’ll be part of the broader Asia Pacific Corporations Sales team, which focuses on selling Carta’s cap table and equity management software to private companies. Since launching in the region in 2021, we’ve built a world-class go-to-market organization supporting the growth of our Corporations business across diverse markets. While most of the team is based in Singapore, we also have team members in key locations—including Australia.
This is a high-impact role within a collaborative, cross-functional team responsible for Carta’s growth in private markets. You’ll work closely with Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing, and Product to deliver exceptional value to founders, CFOs, and finance leaders across ANZ.
We’re seeking a driven, customer-first sales professional to help scale Carta in the ANZ region. This is a rare opportunity to own a strategic market and shape how we grow in Australia and New Zealand.
The ideal candidate blends EQ and IQ, thrives in consultative selling, and can confidently navigate conversations with both early-stage founders and seasoned executives.
- Own the ANZ mid-market territory and the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation to close
- Sell to founders, CFOs, and finance teams with a consultative, value-driven approach
- Provide expert guidance on ESOP compliance, tax regulation, and equity operations in Australia and NZ
- Create and deliver custom sales materials that speak to local market needs
- Run product demos and strategic sessions that showcase Carta’s platform value
- Be the voice of ANZ internally - shaping GTM, influencing product, and driving regional strategy
- Develop a comprehensive sales strategy and sales plan that ensures consistent achievement of goals over the short and long-term
- 3-6 years of full-cycle sales experience in B2B SaaS, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment
- Undergone sales methodology trainings (sandler, meddic, medpicc)
- Proven success selling to mid-market, ideally with finance or operations stakeholders (e.g., CFOs, COOs)
- Experience running a consultative sales process and navigating multi-stakeholder deals
- Comfortable operating independently in a new market, with a founder’s mindset and bias toward action
- Deep understanding of the ANZ startup ecosystem; familiarity with equity, compensation, or financial tech is a plus
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
- Strong pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and proficiency in tools like Salesforce, Gong, and Outreach
- Self-starter, humble, problem-solver and adaptable to change
