About the role
As an Accountant or Senior Accountant at Fordham, you’ll be part of a professional team in a dynamic environment, working closely with Partners and leaders to deliver outstanding client outcomes. You’ll gain exposure to a diverse and engaging portfolio of work, building breadth in your experience while positioning yourself for the growth and development opportunities Fordham offers.
This role is based in our state of the art, central Sydney office.
Key responsibilities will include:
Work as part of a team delivering exceptional accounting services to clients, who are primarily business owners and business managers.
Prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies, and self-managed super funds.
Work on tax compliance, including Division 7A, FBT, CGT, payroll and other indirect tax calculations. Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management reports for Australian audited trusts.
Prepare and implement tax planning strategies and initiatives.
Research tax, business structuring, wealth, and asset protection issues.
Work collaboratively within teams and across teams to promote best practice.
Senior Accountant's will be involved in the supervision, coaching and delegation of work to more junior team members.
About you
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or commerce.
CA/CPA studies commenced or completed.
Experience in Australian public practice, ideally with privately owned groups and multiple entity types.
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and time management skills.
For senior roles, experience supervising and mentoring junior colleagues is a plus.
