About the role

As a Senior Accountant at Fordham, you will work within a professional team, in a dynamic environment. You'll support your manager, Partner, and the wider team, as they seek to provide exceptional service to clients and stakeholders.

This role is based in our state of the art, central Sydney office.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise, coach, and delegate work to juniors in your team, promoting an environment of collaboration and teamwork

  • Coordinate with your team leader on the various phases of an engagement, assisting manager and partner with business performance, structuring, wealth, and asset protection engagements

  • Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships,
    trusts, companies, and SMSFs

  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management reports for Australian audited trusts

  • Prepare and implement tax planning strategies and initiatives

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce, and either studying or have completed CA or CPA

  • Approximately 3-5 years’ experience in Australian public practice

  • Exposure to large business structures, and complex and diverse engagements

  • Good understanding of tax issues such as Division 7A, GST, FBT and SMSFs

  • Exposure to and understanding of interest rate swaps and derivative swaps

  • Experience in supervising and delegating work to junior staff

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
