Commercial Account Executive - Sydney

Account Executives at Klaviyo are given a tremendous opportunity to have a huge impact on Klaviyo’s prospects, on Klaviyo’s trajectory and as a result, on themselves. At Klaviyo, AEs pride themselves on being product experts who focus on closing deals the right way—with the right customers whom they set up for success.

As a Commercial AE, you will run the entire sales cycle for our SMB prospects—from qualification to demo to driving the buying process to close—all while managing a high-velocity pipeline. The best AEs are able to forecast their business with accuracy and proactively extract value from their territory long-term.

Location: This role is hybrid and based out of our Sydney, Australia office.

How You’ll Make a Difference
  • Seek and qualify new opportunities across the Commercial segment in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Actively manage pipeline and develop a strategy for sustained, long-term success in your territory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members in product, engineering, partnerships, and customer success to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for your clients.
  • Support the success of your peers and contribute to the high-energy culture of the Sydney office.
  • Exhibit Klaviyo’s values of accountability and effort in every interaction.
  • Transform workflows by putting AI at the center, building smarter systems and ways of working from the ground up.
Who You Are
  • Experienced: 3+ years of sales experience, with at least 2 years specifically in SaaS or Martech in a new logo acquisition role.
  • Commercial Mindset: Proven track record of managing SMB or Commercial-sized deals with multiple stakeholders.
  • Collaborative: Ability to build relationships with internal (BDRs, Marketing, Ops, Partnerships) and external (clients, agencies) stakeholders.
  • Self-Starter: You define yourself as an energetic, results-oriented individual who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Data-Driven: A track record of using data to inform decision-making and managing pipeline accurately.
  • Strategic & Independent: A results-oriented, highly motivated attitude and the ability to work independently to execute sales strategies.
  • AI Fluent: You’ve already experimented with AI in work or personal projects and are excited to responsibly explore new AI tools to make your work smarter and more efficient.
  • Local Compliance: Eligible to work in Australia without restrictions.
Soft Skills & Tools
  • Exemplary presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong sense of curiosity with a bias towards action.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce, Gong, Clari
  • Experience with structured sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC, Command of the Message).

Sydney is the heart of Klaviyo’s Asia-Pacific operations. Having established a strong presence here, we are continuing to scale our core GTM functions, including Sales, Pre-sales, Customer Success, Partnerships, and Marketing.

Our salary range reflects the cost of labour in the country where the job post is advertised. The base salary offered for this position is determined by several factors, including the applicant’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location.

In addition to base salary, our total compensation package may include participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, variable compensation (OTE) for sales and customer success roles, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility. 

Your recruiter can provide more details about the specific salary/OTE  range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Base Pay Range in Local Currency:
$100,000$100,000 AUD
