CIMIC Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Corporate Accounting team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the integrity of the organisation’s financial reporting processes, while delivering trusted insights to senior stakeholders across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to contribute to a high-performing finance function, influence key decision-making, and support complex, large-scale operations.


About the Role

We are recruiting for a Senior Accountant within the CPB Group Finance team:

This role is part of the Projects team, the team responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base of the Group’s projects and positions and assisting with the coordination of the CPB Group’s audit relating to projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of position papers on all major CPB Group contracts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of significant CPB Group projects and accounting issues.
  • Key point of contact for external auditors in year-end audit and half year review.
  • Liaison with Business Unit and Project Finance Managers to ensure accurate reporting of all CPB Group projects.

About You – Qualifications & Experience

To be successful, you will bring:

  • CA or CPA qualification with a degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in financial and/or management accounting
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting capability
  • Experience working in complex or large-scale corporate environments
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • A proactive, organised and detail-oriented approach
