Job DescriptionWe're looking for a CA/CPA qualified Tax Accountant who wants more than a compliance checklist — someone who wants a seat at the table, influence over real business decisions, and the chance to work across an international network that never stands still.
Why This Role?
You'll be the go-to tax expert advising on everything from FBT and fuel tax rebates to cross-border tax strategy with our Headquarters and external advisors. You'll get your hands on CargoWise, Power BI, OneStream and more — and you'll help shape how a growing logistics business plans, budgets, and stays ahead of the ATO.

What You'll Own
- Financial & Group Reporting — Prepare financial statements, monthly Group Tax workpapers, and Boardpack notes that leadership actually reads
- Tax Compliance, Your Way — Own GST, BAS/IAS, FBT, WHT, and the fuel tax rebate scheme, keeping us compliant and ahead of the curve
- Real Influence — Provide actionable tax recommendations directly to Senior Leadership — not just reports, but real input into decisions
- Global Collaboration — Work directly with Headquarters and external tax advisors on cross-border matters
- Budgets & Forecasts — Partner with management on P&L and CAPEX planning
- Audit & Compliance — Lead the tax focus for half-year reviews and EOFY audits
- Regulatory Relationships — Be our trusted contact with the ATO, ASIC, and OSR
- Systems Ownership — Maintain CargoWise One GL, charge codes, and compliance reporting, plus manage employee disbursements via SAP Concur
- Projects & Variety — Jump into initiatives across the business — no two weeks look the same
What You Bring
- CA/CPA qualified, with 5+ years in corporate accounting — public practice training or MNC tax exposure highly regarded
- Strong grip on AASB standards, Tax Acts, and legislation
- Advanced indirect tax know-how — GST, BAS/IAS, PTRS, WHT, fuel tax rebate
- Comfortable across Excel, Power BI, OneStream, CargoWise, SAP Concur
- A collaborator who communicates well and isn't afraid to manage people and priorities
- Cool under pressure, organised under deadlines
- Freight or logistics experience? A bonus, not a requirement — we'll get you up to speed
