Who are we looking for?

We are looking for Senior Advisor - Assurance to join our Business Advisory Risk & Assurance team based in Sydney

Work alongside industry leaders on some of the region's most significant infrastructure, energy transition and capital investment programs. At GHD Business Advisory, you'll have the opportunity to work directly with senior client stakeholders, influence critical decisions and see the tangible impact of your advice from strategy through to delivery.

As a Senior Advisor within our market-leading Risk & Assurance practice, you'll provide strategic, technical and operational assurance to clients navigating complex capital investments while helping identify new opportunities to solve evolving business challenges. Our team is trusted by clients across Asia Pacific for delivering practical, commercially focused advice that drives better outcomes.

Unlike larger consulting environments, you'll enjoy broader responsibility, greater visibility and the ability to work across the full project lifecycle. As part of GHD Business Advisory, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary experts and build strong client relationships while contributing to some of the most important projects shaping communities across Australia and beyond.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Review and assessment of governance frameworks and strategies  
• Evaluating client’s business control processes 
• Supporting non-financial audits of client systems, processes and projects 
• Supporting assessment of client compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Undertaking technical analysis in support of senior staff  
• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure cost effective solutions to address identified risk and issues are negotiated and implemented in a timely manner. 
• Contributing to the development of the strategic and operational plans for the Risk & Assurance Service line  
• Manage the planning and delivery of assignments  
• Developing internal and external networks to grow the Risk & Assurance service Internal reporting, including client, sales pipeline and revenue reports  

What you will bring to the team:

• Degree qualification in Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance or similar discipline or: 
• 7+ years industry experience in a recognised consulting, corporate or regulatory environment 
• Experience working in/on audit, governance or compliance frameworks and application to major projects
• Excellent business acumen
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills  
• Proven ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships   
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills  
• Strong project management skills  

 Experience in delivering outcomes within a Big4 firm would be regarded highly
