The Opportunity

A 12 month contract opportunity to join Dexus as a Senior AI & Automation Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in turning our AI and automation ambition into well‑defined, delivery‑ready initiatives. Sitting at the intersection of business, technology, and data, you will work closely with stakeholders to identify, interrogate, and validate opportunities - ensuring every initiative entering the pipeline is grounded in evidence, commercially sound, and ready to deliver real value.

You will make an impact by:

• Leading structured intake and discovery activities to assess AI and automation opportunities across benefit, effort, risk, and feasibility
• Translating business ideas into clear, validated requirements by testing assumptions against real data, system behaviour, and platform constraints
• Producing high‑quality, traceable requirements that enable efficient design, build, and delivery without downstream re‑work
• Acting as the requirements and intent reference point throughout delivery, preventing misalignment, ambiguity, and scope drift
• Applying AI risk and governance frameworks at intake and contributing to accurate pipeline, value, and delivery reporting

About You

You are a highly analytical problem‑solver who does not take requirements at face value. You are comfortable challenging assumptions diplomatically, using data and system evidence to uncover what is really happening, and partnering with both business and technology teams to get things right before delivery begins.

You will bring:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Business, Data Analytics or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years’ experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or process improvement roles supporting technology delivery
• Demonstrated experience validating business requirements and assumptions using data and system evidence (essential)
• Strong capability in eliciting, documenting, and maintaining clear, actionable, and traceable requirements across diverse stakeholders
• Exposure to AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives, with experience contributing to business cases and quantified benefits
• Exposure to property, funds management, financial services, or similarly complex operational environments, along with familiarity with data analysis, enterprise platforms, and AI governance principles, will be highly regarded.
