About This Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer who builds things that matter. You will design and ship end-to-end AI solutions for some of APAC's most complex enterprise problems - spanning agentic AI systems, LLM applications, and production ML pipelines. This is a hands-on engineering role embedded within a customer-facing field team, meaning your work will be seen, used, and evaluated by real enterprises from day one.

You will work alongside Kaggle Grandmasters, ML engineers, and domain experts to deliver AI that goes beyond demos - into production, into workflows, and into measurable business outcomes.
This position is based in Sydney, Australia.

What You Will Do

  • Design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications, predictive machine learning models, and agentic systems.
  • Own end-to-end AI solution design spanning data preparation, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and adoption.
  • Architect production-ready AI applications incorporating predictive ML, GenAI, RAG, SLMs/LLMs, agent workflows, and enterprise integrations.
  • Build scalable backend services, APIs, and AI workflows integrating models, agents, data platforms, and user-facing applications.
  • Design and implement production-grade GenAI systems including RAG pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and agent orchestration.
  • Guide customers through predictive analytics, GenAI adoption, model governance, and responsible AI practices.
  • Deliver technical workshops, hackathons, and enablement programmes.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to build reusable assets and reference architectures.
  • Translate technical outcomes into measurable business value.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, data science, or software engineering roles.
  • Strong predictive ML foundation (feature engineering, modelling, validation, evaluation, interpretability).
  • Experience building and deploying production AI applications or services.
  • Experience with GenAI: LLMs, SLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, evaluation, fine-tuning, agentic workflows.
  • Strong Python and software engineering skills (testing, CI/CD, debugging, version control).
  • Experience building APIs, backend systems, or application platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and MLOps/LLMOps (deployment, monitoring, governance).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

How to Stand Out From the Crowd

  • Experience with H2O products.
  • Full-stack AI application development experience.
  • Model governance, monitoring, and responsible AI experience.
  • Hackathon / workshop / enablement experience.
  • Kaggle, open source, blogs, or conference contributions.
