The Controls and Customer Outcomes (CCO) team resides within the Retail Bank. CCO’s purpose is to drive sustainable enhancements to business practices and processes that deliver better outcomes for our customers, shareholders, and the community. We do this through our four strategic pillars of inspire, lead, innovate and execute for the business (RBS) we support.
The Control Automation & Assurance team is responsible for ensuring that strong system controls are in place and related business decisions are well informed, timely and socialised. The team, supporting RBS, is responsible for driving control automation, optimizing control testing/assurance activities, and performing control testing over business process system (automated) controls.


Your Impact:
As a Senior Analyst you will be responsible for executing control testing activities in line with the automated controls assurance framework for RBS, and you will assist the RBS Line 1 Risk teams embed effective controls within the throughout RBS by providing robust feedback where required and recommending appropriate enhancements.
Other responsibilities include:
 

  • Support RBS by providing a comprehensive and integrated risk service, enabling RBS to meet its business outcomes.
  • Identify, lead and manage continuous improvement of the business control environment by using data to generate insights, recommendations and support implementation of new initiatives.
  • Support RBS in optimizing their assurance activities through the implementation of continuous assurance (monitoring), automated assurance and tooling platforms.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Experienced in auditing Automated / Semi Automated Business Process Controls or IT General controls with knowledge of areas such as Continuous Control Testing, Benchmarking and advanced analytical testing procedures.
  • Ability to think critically and analytically and use data driven insights to solve problems.
  • A strong understanding of software development lifecycle and implementation testing.
  • Influencing and consulting skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • BU specific – business commercial aptitude and knowledge.
  • SQL and programming skills are desirable.
