Job Description

At TAL, you'll play a key role in strengthening the frameworks that help us deliver on our promise to protect Australians with confidence. Working within the Line 2 Risk Office, you'll partner with stakeholders across the business to enhance financial risk management practices, support critical decision making, and help shape a strong and sustainable future for TAL. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by embedding a proactive risk culture that enables our business to grow responsibly while continuing to support customers when they need us most.

In This Role You Will:

  • Provide trusted risk and compliance guidance to strengthen the management of financial risks across the business
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of TAL’s Risk Appetite Statement
  • Collaborate with Capital teams to support and evolve TAL’s Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) framework
  • Lead the coordination and delivery of stress testing scenarios that strengthen business resilience
  • Build strong stakeholder partnerships to embed risk awareness and promote effective risk management practices
  • Deliver risk expertise and strategic advice to projects across TAL’s financial risk portfolio

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a business, risk, finance, actuarial or related discipline
  • At least 3+ years' experience within financial services, risk management, insurance, banking or a related industry
  • Understanding of life insurance prudential requirements, capital frameworks or regulatory obligations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex issues and identify practical solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and continuous improvement mindset
