Senior Analyst – FP&A

Office of the CFO | Sydney CBD | Hybrid work

  • We’re looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Business Performance & Analysis team within the Office of the CFO — a role that offers visibility, impact, and the chance to influence decisions across planning, performance, and strategy.

  • This isn’t just reporting. It’s partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver insights that shape decisions and drive sustainable growth. You’ll work across forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning, with exposure to senior leadership and the Group CFO.

  • We offer a flexible hybrid working model based out of our Martin Place office — typically 3 days in-office and 2 days from home.

We’re taking a short break over the festive period - Applications are welcome, but there may be a delay in hearing back from us until mid-January. Thank you for your understanding and wishing you wonderful break

About the role

You’ll join our Business Performance & Analysis team within the Office of the CFO — a high-impact role where you’ll partner with senior stakeholders to deliver insights that shape decisions across planning, performance, and strategy.  While the team supports the full Group, you’ll take the lead supporting our investment management business— giving you ownership and visibility from day one.

This is a great opportunity to move beyond reporting into a more strategic, forward-looking role with exposure to senior leadership and the Group CFO.

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver monthly management reporting and actionable insights to senior stakeholders

  • Prepare variance analysis, trend insights, and performance commentary to guide decisions

  • Translate complex financial data into clear narratives that inform strategic choices

  • Prepare rolling forecasts and annual budgets for your business areas

  • Support scenario modelling and strategic planning to assess market impacts

  • Link financial planning to strategic objectives and monitor KPIs

  • Identify and implement process improvements, including automation of reporting and analysis

  • Explore smart solutions using platforms like Anaplan, Workiva, Workday, and Power BI

What you’ll bring

This role would suit someone with a background in FP&A, commercial finance or financial control who’s ready to step into a more strategic, forward-looking role. As well as having.

  • CA/CPA (or equivalent) with 2+ years post-qualification experience

  • Advanced Excel and familiarity with finance systems and data query tools

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Strong financial accounting knowledge and analytical skills

  • Impeccable attention to detail and a proactive mindset

  • Experience with Anaplan, Workiva, Workday or Power BI is advantageous

You’ll thrive here if you:

  • Enjoy partnering with stakeholders and influencing decisions

  • Are curious about the “why” behind the numbers — not just the “what”

  • Want to contribute to broader business performance and growth

Why join us?

  • Real exposure: Work within the Office of the CFO, partnering with senior leaders across the business

  • Strategic impact: Influence decisions across planning and performance

  • Growth potential: Step into a broader platform with pathways into commercial finance and leadership roles
