We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join our growing Corporate Finance team, with a focus on Financial Due Diligence, Valuations and Financial Modelling across mid-market and large private transactions in our Sydney or Melbourne office.
Our high-performing Corporate Finance team provides Valuations, Financial Modelling, M&A, Capital raising, Financial Due diligence and Strategic advisory services to a range of private and ASX listed companies. Our reputation as a leading corporate finance service provider is built on our advisors’ commitment to understanding our clients’ businesses and working with them as a team to maximise value, mitigate risk - therefore achieving successful transactions and commercial outcomes.
In this role, you’ll work across a diverse range of engagements and client types across multiple industries and levels of complexity. You’ll be part of a close-knit team delivering high-quality, technically sound reports while driving the team’s growth and success.
This is an opportunity to work within a nationally integrated advisory firm, collaborating with specialists across tax, audit, wealth and business advisory to deliver seamless, end-to-end transaction support.
What will your typical week look like?
• Lead and support buy-side and sell-side Financial Due Diligence engagements, delivering accurate, high quality and tailored solutions
• Analyse earnings quality, working capital requirements, quality of net assets, cash flow trends, financial composition, and financial sustainability.
• Review and analysis of financial forecasts
• Identify transaction risks, red flags and key value drivers
• Prepare clear, commercially focused and high quality due diligence reports and supporting materials for clients, investors and financiers
• Work closely with management teams, private equity investors and corporate acquirers
• Review data rooms and respond to transaction-related financial queries
• Build and review three-way financial models to assess deal scenarios and sensitivities
• Collaborate with Findex’s broader Corporate Finance and Advisory teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Involvement in delivering Valuation services engagements including conducting research on industries, comparable companies, and precedent transactions to support valuations
• Develop and review financial models from scratch using best practice techniques and analytical tools
• Maintain compliance and quality standards by ensuring accurate documentation, meeting chargeable hour targets, and achieving profitability goals
Let’s talk about you
• Degree in Commerce, Business or Economics
• Experience in Financial Due Diligence, Transaction Services, Valuations, Financial Modelling or Corporate Finance
• Strong understanding of financial statements, earnings normalisation, working capital analysis and cash flow assessment
• Advanced Excel skills and experience building or reviewing integrated financial models
• High attention to detail, critical thinking, strong analytical capability and competent research skills
• External audit experience preferred
• Valuation services experience and exposure useful
• Clear and confident written and oral communication skills
• Commercial mindset with the ability to translate numbers into insights
• Motivated, proactive and comfortable working in transaction-driven environments
• Strong personal drive and ability to take initiative
• Ability and desire to work as part of a close-knit team
