The opportunity
Join our Lenders’ Mortgage Insurance (LMI) Strategy & Analytics team as a Senior Analyst, where you’ll lead pricing and portfolio monitoring initiatives and provide clear, data-driven insights to senior stakeholders. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys running end-to-end analysis, interpreting model results and drivers, and influencing business decisions.

Your new role
As a Senior Analyst in LMI Strategy & Analytics, you will operate at a high level as a trusted pricing and analytics specialist, responsible for:
- Acting as the lead pricing resource for RFP tenders
- Running and leading updates to the QBE LMI pricing model to support portfolio adequacy and business tenders
- Leading pricing governance and documentation, including monitoring and reviewing model assumptions
- Partnering closely with Finance and Actuaries to ensure models are accurate and fit-for-purpose
- Monitoring lender new business volumes and key portfolio metrics against benchmarks
- Delivering and presenting clear data analysis and insights to a range of senior stakeholders
- Monitoring customer, industry, competitor and regulatory developments and articulating their impact on the portfolio
- Translating economic and regulatory change into meaningful commercial insights
About you
You may come from an actuarial, analytics or finance background, but you’ll bring strong data analytics capability and confidence in interpreting complex information. You’ll also have:
- Strong ability to analyse, interpret and extrapolate data to resolve complex issues
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Intermediate SAS
- Exposure toPython and/or SQL preferred
- Experience interpreting financial reports and metrics
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and process understanding
- Experience building dashboards (Power BI ) is desirable but not essential
- A degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Econometrics, Data Science or similar, with an interest in Financial Services or Insurance
