Senior Architect – Access Advanced Technology

Are you ready to shape the future of Australia’s digital infrastructure?
We’re seeking a strategic and technically skilled Senior Architect to join our Access Advanced Technology team. This is a unique opportunity to influence enterprise-wide architecture, drive the evolution of nbn’s HFC network, and deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer experience and business performance.

About the Role
As a Senior Architect at nbn, you’ll lead the development and implementation of solution architecture across our network, platforms, and services. You’ll ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and business strategy while enabling exceptional customer experiences.
You’ll collaborate with technical teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable, efficient, and high-quality solutions. You’ll also help shape the technical strategy for HFC access technologies, evaluate strategic options, prototype advanced operational tools, and conduct proof-of-concept investigations in lab and field environments. Where viable, you’ll support the transition from concept to scalable solution.
This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic direction, drive innovation, and mentor technical talent across the organisation.

About You
You’re an experienced architecture professional with a strong background in designing and delivering enterprise solutions. You bring deep expertise in HFC technologies and are confident leading cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes aligned with business goals.
You’re hands-on and willing to conduct field and lab investigations to assess strategic options. A clear communicator and strategic thinker, you thrive in complex environments and are skilled at influencing stakeholders, managing competing priorities, and driving technical excellence.
You’re passionate about innovation, customer experience, and building resilient, future-ready systems.
