Position Overview:

The SEO Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our SEO strategy to increase our online presence and improve our search engine rankings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEO, particularly within the online travel platform or e-commerce sectors, and a deep understanding of the Australian market. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to lead and mentor a team of SEO specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute SEO Strategy: Design and implement comprehensive SEO strategies that align with our business goals and objectives.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of SEO specialists, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to understand the Australian market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitor strategies.

  • Keyword Research and Optimization: Perform detailed keyword research to identify opportunities for content optimization and new content creation.

  • On-Page and Off-Page SEO: Optimize website content, meta tags, and other on-page elements, as well as develop and execute effective off-page SEO strategies.

  • Content Strategy: Collaborate with the content team to develop SEO-friendly content that meets the needs of our target audience.

  • Technical SEO: Work closely with the development team to ensure the website is optimized for search engines, including site structure, page speed, and mobile optimization.

  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and other SEO software. Provide actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Stay Updated on SEO Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to ensure our strategies remain effective.

  • Local SEO: Optimize our online presence for local search terms and ensure we are visible in local directories and listings.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEO, with at least 3 years of experience leading and managing an SEO team.

  • Industry Background: Preferably experienced in the online travel platform or e-commerce sectors.

  • Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Australian market and its unique characteristics.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in SEO tools and software such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Moz.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
