Job DescriptionThis is an opportunity to help shape meaningful customer outcomes by ensuring TAL's solutions are grounded in strong governance, regulatory integrity and continuous improvement. As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in turning complex regulatory requirements into practical, customer-focused approaches that support positive change across the business. Working at the intersection of compliance, operations and customer experience, you'll contribute to initiatives that strengthen trust, drive better outcomes and support TAL's purpose of helping Australians live a life filled with choices, options and freedoms.
In this role you will:
- Translate regulatory and business requirements into practical solutions that improve customer and business outcomes.
- Partner with stakeholders to align priorities, build support and drive successful delivery outcomes.
- Lead analysis of current and future state processes to identify opportunities for improvement and change.
- Facilitate requirements gathering and decision-making to ensure initiatives deliver clear business value.
- Enable adoption of new ways of working through effective change planning, readiness and capability development.
- Strengthen governance and compliance by embedding regulatory insights into processes, controls and operational practices.
- Document current and future state procedures, business rules and process changes clearly, ensuring they are accurate, accessible and maintained as a reliable reference for stakeholders and audit purposes.
- Demonstrated Business Analyst experience within the financial services industry is essential, with experience in life insurance highly regarded. Candidates with a strong BA background in other financial services sectors (e.g. general insurance, banking, wealth management, superannuation) are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate confidently with diverse stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
- Translate complex regulatory or business requirements into clear, practical solutions that support both customers and the business.
- Facilitate effective discussions and workshops to uncover insights, align priorities and drive informed decisions.
- Apply strong analytical thinking to solve complex problems, identify improvement opportunities and simplify processes.
- Manage competing priorities with sound judgement, delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Challenge constructively and continuously improve, bringing a practical mindset and a focus on better ways of working.
