Senior Business Development Manager – NSW

Join Fidante as a Senior Business Development Manager and help drive growth across the NSW region for one of Australia’s largest and most respected active investment managers.

About the role

In this key position, you’ll manage and deepen existing adviser relationships while expanding Fidante’s footprint across New South Wales. Working autonomously within the National Service Strategy, you’ll champion our boutique fund managers, grow affiliate fund sales, and strengthen Fidante’s market presence through trusted partnerships.

What you’ll do

  • Represent Fidante’s boutique fund managers and clearly articulate their value propositions
  • Build, manage and deepen long-term adviser and client relationships
  • Drive FUM growth across a broad range of investment strategies
  • Deliver compelling presentations and educational sessions (in person and virtual)

What we’re looking for

We welcome candidates from diverse investment backgrounds — not just sales. Whether your experience sits in BDM roles, Investment Specialist teams, Product/Investment Product, or other client‑facing investment positions, we want to hear from you.

You’ll bring

  • Strong investment knowledge across Equities, Fixed Income and/or Alternatives
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • A commercial, strategic mindset with the ability to drive growth
  • RG146 compliance (essential)
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or related discipline (highly regarded)
  • CFA, CIMA or similar professional accreditation (preferred)

Additional Information

Working at Fidante, as part of the Challenger Limited Group, we’re small enough to be agile, but big enough to accelerate bold ideas. We support your growth and development, offering flexibility and a culture that values your unique contributions.

  • Discretionary bonus scheme
  • 18 weeks paid parental leave for all new parents
  • Challenger Day – one extra day off every year in recognition of the effort our people make.
  • Additional support leave (fertility, gender affirmation)
  • Extra superannuation contributions
  • Employee share plan
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Subsidised on-site café and central location near Martin Place Metro
  • Access to free onsite yoga, mindfulness and Pilates classes.
  • Access to annual free flu shots.
